Everybody who knows me is aware that ever since I came to America, I have always said.
Dream big; this is the land of opportunities. Work hard; take risks.
But what most people don’t know is that everything I know or have learned about America since I was seven years old was from my father. My father was my American hero. I don’t offend any Americans by saying that, because my father admired American culture and believed in democracy from afar. That was the reason he never left Cuba, his own land.
That's why I wrote and self-published a memoir to honor my father and anyone out there who thinks the same way.
